Librettist Julia Curcio is from Philadelphia and a graduate of Drexel University's Screenwriting and Playwriting program. She met Ellen thanks to her friends Bob and Debbie Stern. Her fiction has been published in such places as Liguorian, Italian Americana, Voices in Today's Magazines, and in the anthology South Philly Fiction.  Her plays have been performed as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
